MSHA Training Courses are available for Labor Union members and UPCC Signatory Contractors. MSHA Training and certification is required for individuals working on mine sites. The UPCC offers both 8-hour refresher and 24-hour new hire courses meeting the Part 46 training requirement. 

Course are typically offered the first Saturday of each month, either in Gwinn (KI Sawyer) or Escanaba. These courses are offered at no cost to members, although you must register in advance and there is a $30 fee for no-shows. All courses are in-person only.
